recently I was sloppy and while distracted sold alcohol to a minor. the officer came in, gave me the citation. I asked what to expect, he said a fine and no jail time.

I was stupid, I I.D. it was not a case of me thinking she was older or not caring, just me looking at the item on the counter and not the person. no excuses, pretty cut and dry.

so I was curious what I might expect. is a first time offense aways a conviction or is a warning possible?

also, the officer did not sign or initial even the citation he gave me. I know I am grasping at straws, but does that make any difference?
