What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arkansas
Ex-wife married sex offender from Tennessee, and now lives in Arkansas with 2 children. Victims were 12, and 13yo. According to Tennessee sex offender laws, a released sex offender whose victim is under 13years old, may not live in a home with minor children. Does relocating to a state without a similar law allow him to now legally live with children, or is he still required to comply with the laws from where he was convicted?

Unfortunately, unless he was still on probation or under direct court supervision for the offenses committed in Tennessee, they no longer have jurisdiction over him.

And no, Oklahoma does not have any laws against a sex offender living in a home with other minor children.

Do you know what the nature of the offense was for which he was convicted? Have the children mentioned to you any problems or concerns with this person's behavior towards them?

I am confused. He mentioned Arkansas. From where did you bring Oklahoma?
