Two weeks ago, I was on campus at a nearby university staying with some friends. I spent the night in a dorm with a girl I don't really know. We were laying together watching a movie, and I was rubbing her back. I also was rubbing her and touching her lower region. It appeared to me see was fine with all of this, as she never said no or seemed uncomfortable.

Now I'm still a minor and recently got a call from the Public Safety office at the university. They want to talk to me about the incident.

Apparently after I fell asleep the girl left her dorm and me in it and went over to a friends dorm to sleep. I woke up and was wondering where she was.

She had told her coach that she was sleeping and woke up and I was touching her. This obviously is not something I would do. First of all I don't mess with people when they are sleeping it is not right. From what I could tell she seemed to be coherent and I knew she wasn't under the influence of alchol.

Please help me out. The Public safety dept. wants to talk to me about the incident, but I don't want to incrimenate myself.

Thanks

If you are 'innocent' of any actions as you claim, then you shouldn't have any problems talking with them and at least offering your 'explanation' (as unplausible as it seems).

I am innocent, however, do I really need to talk to them if they have no case?

Of course you don't have to talk with them.
Here are the two options you have as I see them:
1) Talk with them. Since you claim you are innocent of the claims being made, your taking the opportunity to talk with them may prevent them filing criminal charges against you.
2) Don't talk with them. If this is your choice, then they will very likely file criminal charges against you based solely on the statements made by the complainant.

Of course what you do is entirely up to you.

Is this "Public Safety office" the police or security? If it is sercurity they have to follow up and are supposed to report any lude conduct to the police.

Have you spoked to the girl about this?
If you can talk to her about it, I would record the conversation (CYA) w/o her knowing it and see where that takes you.

Also, find out if she has done this before to others.

Good Luck.

There is a reason that his name is "I Don't Know"!!
Do NOT follow his 'advice'. Do NOT try to talk with the 'victim'. All you will do is aggravate the situation and possibly caused additional charges/concerns.

Is there even enough information to file crimnal charges? I'm pretty sure they don't got anything on me. It is just my word against hers.

"Is there even enough information to file crimnal charges?"
*** Obviously, no one can answer that question without reviewing the investigators reports, etc. And you can't even answer that since you refuse to talk with the investigator. Not to mention that your refusal to talk with them will certainly NOT help your claims of innocence.

"I'm pretty sure they don't got anything on me. It is just my word against hers."
*** That is often sufficient enough to bring charges.

That there, my friends, is what I call an admission of guilt.

I would envision...He rubs her back...She falls asleep...He rubs her you-know-what...She wakes up...He pretends to be asleep...She is afraid of him and leaves.

DON'T talk to the girl now that she has filed a report. DON'T secretly record a conversation. Most importantly, don't act as if you are completely innocent. Obviously there was a misunderstanding between the two of you. When someone feels threatened then something is wrong.

Go talk to the Public Safety folks and tell your side of the story. That is the only way to fix the situation.

I hope for your sake that you didn't intentionally do anything to this girl. If you did, then they need to cut your dick off, make you piss through a catheter for the rest of your life, and force you to watch porn from morning till night.
