I am in the state of New York.

EDIT: Disregard the previous questions here. I have found most of the information I need. I just have one more short question.

I am just confused about the age of 17. I know that the culmination of that age allows the individual to consent to sex with anyone 17+, but what about younger? Can a 17 year old be charged with statutory rape for engaging with someone younger? (That is, to disregard the affirmative defense of the four-year rule)
