What is the name of your state? Montana

When I was 18 & a senior in HS some friends & I STUPIDLY shop lifted from the local Kmart. Well, we got caught, & I, being the only one 18, went before a judge & paid a fine, I think it was $200.00 at the most. My question is, now that I am 35, never had anything on my record, not even a speeding ticket, would this show up on a background search? I've been a nurse for many years, & am now wanting to start home day care & the state of Oregon where I now live requires a criminal background search.
