What is the name of your state? Missouri

I would like to know if you are being asked to sign a legal document is it legal to cross out and initial sections of the document you do not agree to?

What can the other party do or say about this?

Does it make the document invalid?

None changes you make will be binding unless both parties agree to all of them. You can make all the changes you want and sign it but if the other party doesn't review the document and agree to the changes, you have nothing more than more paper for the recycle bin.
