What is the name of your state? Kentucky
After me and my husband recieved our vechicle back that had been impounded, we found a tape in the car, where one of the police officers involved with the arrested had taped himself making a slander remark about my husband. Is there anything that can be done about that? Could we take them to court? Seems like they violate something due to the charges being dismissed, the officer called my husband a ****** on the tape.

The officer voicing his opinion about your husband was just that - his opinion. It was not factually untrue, it was not broadcast to an "audience," and your husband has not suffered any damages.

Forget it and move on.
