What is the name of your state? California

So I was caught soliciting sex from a woman of the night (to put it nicely), the cop gave me the ticket, (end of February btw) and now I get this letter from the city that gave me the ticket saying they are changing it from one violation code to a different one! Is that legal? Can they do that? Can I have the case thrown out because of that?

The violation code was a 653.22 and was changed to a 647(b) if anyone wanted to know!

Any help would be appreciated!
