My sister just discovered that someone has been using her social security number and personal information for OVER 10 YEARS!!
After appying for a credit card and being turned down she got a copy of her credit report (which was difficult to obtain since she couldn't
"provide any account information for security purposes"18 pages long and has terrible credit problems dating back to when she was 12 years old!!! Including, but not limited to foreclosures (2),charge offs (numerous), past due (numerous), repossessions (several), and other various and sundry credit nightmare items. The only accounts in good standing were actually hers including her student loan, car payemnt and the one credit card
that she legitimately holds.
Need to know what action to take.
There has to be somthing we can do.

How can a 12 year old get houses and cars. And how can someone keep getting loans on this SSN with all this on there.
