Everything I've read says the age of consent is 16 in Washington, and 18 in Oregon. If this is correct, and a girl who is 16 and from Oregon sleeps with a guy over 18 from Washington, and they are IN Washington when it happens, which law covers them? Can the man be convicted of statutory rape? Also, can a man be convicted of statutory rape without the girl, or girl's parents pressing charges? Thanks!
