What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

A recent audit of the records of a nonprofit organization found that one of the past treasurers may have been stealing money. The time period is from 1997 to 2001. The amout is about $3,000 - however we have a small budget.

Is this a criminal matter or do we need to proceed through civil proceedings?

Is there a statute of limitations?

Other than expultion from our organization, do we have any authority to report to other organizations? What about our "main" organization?

This individual is being brought before a hearing of the entire organization. Is there anything we should avoid to be sure that we arn't breaking the law ourselves?

Thank you for any assistance!!
