What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

Hello, my co-worker has received a subpoena to attend a criminal trial in Louisiana as a witness for the prosecution. We live in Texas and are having a lot of trouble contacting the prosecutor in this case to find out about hotel, travel, etc. The initial response when we asked about it was "we don't do that here". My co-worker will be testifying either as a lay/expert witness as we do typically. We are not trying to get out of testifying by any means, but want to make sure that the travel and hotel will be reimbursed. The info I have been able to find has not been very helpful. Please assist in anyway possible. Thank you!
