i live in washington state. i am faced with a dilemma. an old roommate moved out recently and after she was gone i noticed that one of my rings was missing and 2 shirts. the ring is valued at only $60.00 and the 2 shirts at $60.00. I have repeatedly asked her to return them ans they were gifts. I have all receipts with my name on them. Is there anything that the police can do to get them back for me without me having to press charges? and can i even press charges if i needed to?
