What is the name of your state? Texas
A dentist is threatening to file criminal charges for stopping payment on a check. According to what I've been able to find, it is not theft by check because the funds were in the bank to cover the check. I was told they would have to take me to civil court. Can you tell me how I can find out for sure? Thanks
