What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah What are the penalties for theft of services to a utility company?

Depending on the exact nature of the theft it's either a class A misdemeanor (1 year in jail and/or $2500 fine) or a class B (six months and/or $1000 fine). In addition the utility or whatever has statutory civil right of restitution over and above the criminal charges.
