That's right. See if you can dig out the paperwork you got when you were sentenced and when you contracted with probation. Generally there should be something about being of good behavior and having no further violations of the law. But that usually doesn't mean a traffic ticket, unless the underlying conviction is for driving-related behavior.
Even if this does constitute a probation violation, your PO won't be looking for a lot out of you to satisfy your probation. (As long as there's no other information you aren't telling us--like if someone was injured or if you were in possession at the time.) A basic speeding ticked doesn't cause any concern. If it's like a careless or reckless driving, they might want you to take a class on defensive driving or something.
