What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ga

is there a statue of limitation from the time you are arrested and bonded out. i was charged with theft by taking or conversion back in oct 05 for the amount of over 30000 dollars i just got a court date 4yrs later. i read the statue of limitation for ga and im a bit confused.

Nope statute of limitations doesn't apply here, even if it did, felonies are 4 years. There is a speedy trial provision, but it is incumbent on the defendant to make that issue.
