use of survivors benefits

My (then) 17 year old daughter made accusations to utah child and family services. She later recanted (after they were found to be false by child and family services). While now resolved, this racked up significant legal fees.

My daughter has been the recipient of social security survivor benefits from my ex-wife, that I had legally been receiving for her.
Can I use these benefits to pay these legal costs that she incurred?
