NM - Friend found out that he had been embezzled. Asked me to assist in the audit. We found that the total was nearly $80,000 between forged checks and credit card transfers.

The police were impressed with the evidence that they picked up from us, but failed to contact any of the witnesses save two. They also failed to return our calls when we left messages that we had further evidence ready for them.

They finally called the person in and showed them what they had bothered to obtain from us, and recieved a confession of sorts. They then released this person and still have not bothered to contact the witnesses nor to obtain the remainder of the evidence, which is overwhelming.

We have been unable to find a lawyer that will assist us in dealing with the credit card companies and the other banks involved.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!
