What is the extradition process for a non fugitive? A warrant was issued for my husband's arrest in Tennessee, we live in Alabama. The local police picked him up, held him for Tennesse to pick up. He was arrested at 6pm on July 6th, they arrived to pick him up on July 7th at 2am. His first appearance before a judge was on August 22nd, it was postponed until September 26th and it was dissmissed in the preliminary hearing on October 17th, due to "lack of jurisdiction".
