Hi,

I'm a student in Chicago and I just left a voicemail on Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern's answering machine condemning her recent hate speech and demanding her resignation. Unfortunately, I got a little carried away and at the end I said something along the lines of "I know there isn't a Hell, but I know you believe in it so I hope you rot in Hell." Could any legal ramifications arise from this?

Thanks,

Dave

If you are worried that this could be construed as a threat to harm her, I can tell you that I would not take it that way. But she may choose to turn it over to the state police or whoever has jurisdiction for investigation.

Others who know more than I will be along to offer better insight.
