I'm sure I'll get some jokes/etc for this, and I apologize if this is not the right forum, but it's the closest match I could find.

I'm considering becoming a booking agent for escorts. What I'm thinking of doing is, to make it "safe" for escorts and people wanting to see them, is to serve as a central point of contact, and have people interested in booking appointments use paypal to pay me, then give the girls their cut. That would make it very safe for both parties. All I would be doing would be taking money through paypal, and coordinating two people meeting somewhere, what they do from there is their business.

Is this skating too thin of a line? I have a normal job with a lot to lose, so I would want this to be VERY legitimate.

No it isn't... but how could anyone prove that what I'mdoing is prostitution? I'm neither paying for, nor soliciting it. I'm just handling booking, and in fact it seems they would have to prove that I had knowledge of what these people are doing once they meet.

It's illegal. End of story. You can say you didn't know what they would do but that excuse doesn't always fly.

The bigger question is what are you offering the women in this situation. A real pimp offers protection from harm. You know, he will go and beat up the Johns if they get rough. What will you do? Send them a nasty email?

Further you are enquiring as to the legality of what you are doing. It is not legal, and any shortcoming the police or courts would have is proving your crime would not make it legal. And believe me they would have no problem proving it.

You are promoting prosititution. That is a crime. The police don't need access to your inner thoughts to prove that you are promoting prostitution. You might even sincerely believe you are just helping to play match-maker or some such crap.

Well even if you were delusional - you would still be promoting prostitution.

The laws are written to include promotion of prostitution as a way to make pimping a crime.

You can't broker prostitutes without breaking the law. Internet payments will not shield you.


And while you are at it, what will you do with the income... That's tax fraud if you don't pay your taxes, and how will you pay your taxes without explaining your income, and therby providing all the proof needed to expose your crime**************......

Go to your kitchen... open up your phone book... go to the "Escort" section under E, and you will find TONS of listings right there in plain view.

it is NOT a crime to be an escort.... I can't imgagine why it would be a crime to do their bookings and handle appts and payments.
