What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois
Can an elected official (village trustee, same as an alderman) have an Order of Protection against them and still serve on the village board? I am not sure where to look in the statutes. Trustee was elected in April 2011 and OP was issued by the court 5 days ago.

It wouldn't be in your state statutes, it would be in your village bylaws or code. However you could certainly attend your next village meeting (however its defined) and raise the issue there.
