What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York
My 17 year old son got a ticket for fishing without a license. The officer advised him to buy a license and send it in with the ticket, which we did. I called the DEC and asked about the ticket and the lady said to send it in with a not guilty plea. Against instinct we did. Now he got a letter with a court date of Oct 12th. He has just started college and I don't want to have to go and have him miss a day of classes for court. Is there anything I can do?
