I live in Texas. I rolled my state retirement into an IRA and took part for some dental work that I needed done. I am on social security disability and cannot work. Social services are now counting my IRA as income so now I don't qualify for medicaid which I really need and they have cut my food stamps to practically nothing. If I take most of my IRA out and spend it on burial insurance or payment on my land will they have to reconsider giving my benefits back?
