I have been receiving harrasing phone calls from persons who claim I took out a payday loan and then did not pay. They at first stated I took the loan out in 2011, and that I owed $500.00. After much questioning I also tried to find out what the exact date was, they claim they did not have it. They further stated that they were turning this information over to my local police department and they would arrest me. They also stated that if I did not resolve the issue by paying them $500.00 this could result in my social security number being put on some sort of black list. They have been calling now for about three weeks. Each time I ask for details on the loan, they have none. They keep reading this script and threatening to call the police on me. I did recently try to get a cash loanbut I was looking up cash loans for unemployed. I was of course denied. Just to be sure I did check all my transactions on my checking and savings accounts. No deposits. Can they do something with my social security number? They do have it and they have my routing number to my bank. Should I change my account? Can they put my social on some sort of black list? How do I stop these people?

Please Help.

first off, i just need your bank name and i can get your routing number.

calling the police, ha ha! that's funny.

next time they call, demand they send you proof in writing of a transaction between you and the cash loan company.
