What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? all states

Anyone on here see the news about the girl and her gun design on her purse? According to the news the girl was detained by the TSA because her purse had a gun design on the outside and she was told it was a "federal offense". Oh really?

Either way the TSA looks like idiots, which they are.

They either a) caught something that could be mistaken as a gun but also did not catch it (girl was on a return flight & had no issues with 1st leg) or b) are total morons who cannot decide that an almost 2-D patch is not a gun replica.

TSA is the worst agency .. with the most employees .. who advertise on PIZZA boxes for employees.

What did you expect after congress started the DEPT. of HOMELAND SECURITY. Fascism is what I expected & that is what we got.

Surprise! Not.

it was not 2d. It looked like a gun sliced in half and attached to the purse. The delay was justified in my opinion.

TSA Thinks Fake Gun On Your Handbag Is A Security Threat - The Consumerist

they cleared her to fly but required that she either turn the purse over to TSA or check it.
It did not "look" like a gun .. I know what one looks like..nowhere close it to.

One would have to have brain damage to think that it did look like a gun...heck..its almost 2 D

Lets assume that a person does bring a gun on board. What they going to do with one? Nothing substantial.

The only action needed after 9-11 (and was previously recommended time and again) was to secure the ****pit. This has been done.

The rest of TSA activity is security theater. The only real threat now comes from chemical weapons (bombs, etc) and the TSA has not addressed this in any substantial way. What do they do? Have us take our shoes off. Brilliant!

No one can hijack a plane anymore unless the crew opens the ****pit door and does not secure it. A remote possibility.

And a cursory examination of the gun patch shows its what? A PATCH. Duh.

Exactly what could any person do with such a patch? Nothing.

The TSA is just training us for the next phase...

Killing passengers is not "substantial"?
Its nothing that a person cannot do on the ground. Guns should not be allowed on planes but the focus should be on bombs and chemical weapons -- and the TSA is getting an F on their preparedness for this.

As I stated before, hijacking was solved by locking the door. That took a stroke of genius from our government, huh?

Its all security theater today .. and look, they wish to expand these searches to non-air travel.
