I have my car for sale on my front lawn, and got a phone call from the town saying that there was a complaint and that there is an ordinance that states vehicles aren't allowed to be for sale without being registered. Do I have ant recourse? I live in Connecticut?

Sherriff is right.

Your recourse is to register the car to show it or store it and show it only to interested parties.
