Are you saying that you were working under a name that was not your legal name? If so then this is a consequence of that. You might be able to get it sorted out with unemployment if you file an appeal to the decision.

and why is your name on your driver's license different than the name you used with your employer? I have to presume you did not use your driver's license when filling out the I-9 form when you were first employed.
