Question

Allow individuals on land for self-help firewood

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania
I was thinking about advertising and allowing individuals to access my 14 acres of wooded land (by appointment only and for a fee) to cut down dead trees, and cut up already fallen trees for firewood for themselves. Would an injury waiver release form suffice to cover my liability in case they get injured or killed? If so, is there a good form to use and would it require a witness in addition to their signature?

**A: and what did your insurance agent tell you when you asked these same questions?

Thumbs up

Do it

He said go for it. Goes on all the time in this state. Any injuries they may incur would not be due to my negligence. I am the first to actually question liability issues with him about this subject. He said have them sign a waiver anyway.
