Assault

I am currently a student studying abroad in Melbourne, Australia.

This past weekend, a few of my friends and myself went for a trip to Sydney, Australia in New South Wales. On the 28th of May, we all went out to a bar and had a few drinks. As the night ended, someone began to grab the girlfriend of my roomate. He was told to stop numerous times by the girlfriend and by my roomate. He shoved my roomate, then shoved the girlfriend, prompting my roomate to go towards him. Immediately a bouncer took hold of my roomate and escorted him outside. The man then advanced toward the girl again when another one of my roomates stepped in to stop him. After a few brisk shoves, a fight broke out. I jumped on one of the men trying to beat my roomate and was punched multiple times in the face. After it was over, my jaw was fractured and I'm still not sure if my nose is broken (but it doesn't seem to be). We immediately went to the hospital and I never got to file a report to the police. I know one of the men who assaulted my friends and me was arrested. My jaw is now oddly shifted, and my bite is crooked.

I am curious if I can still file a report and try to get money to fix my jaw. I don't remember a whole lot from the night, as my friends have had to piece it together for me. I have pictures of my face a couple days after the fight, just in case I need them in court. Is there any way to prosecute the man who was arrested, or will the police have to question him about the others involved?

Thanks for your help!

US Law Only!!

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
