Attacked and Angry

Illinois
I am the female manager of a Title Loan office. I have been working by myself in the office since the end of July. On 9/30/05 I was attacked by an irate man who was mad that his wife got a loan on their vehicle without his consent. Our office has been doing business with these people since 2001 and we have written several loans to them with just one or the other signing both names on the contract, as the man is disabled and the lady is a full time student quite far from where they live and is is difficult to get them in the same place at the same time. I also had written approval from my supervisor to write the loan, The man came to office and demanded to have his title and keys back and that he would not pay back any money other than the original amount his wife had gotten from me, no interest. He tried to grab his file from me and a scuffle ensued in which he scratched my right hand all the way down my thumb. I got away from the man and called my supervisor and had him talk to the man on the phone. They had a screaming match on the phone and the man threw the receiver on my desk and told me my supervisor wanted to talk to me. He advised me to call 911. I did so, and when the police arrived they escorted the man out of my office and wanted to know if we wanted to press charges. My company wanted him removed from the premises and told not to return. I had my daughter take me to the hospital and had my injury treated, and while there I called the officer that had come to my office and told him that I wanted the man arrested for physically assaulting me whether my company liked it or not.As of this writing, nothing has been done about arresting this man and my company has informed me that if the man returns I am to write him another loan, as they let his wife pay off this loan interest free. My question is how do I get this man arrested for assaulting me and do I have grounds against my company for not backing me up on an arrest and then expecting me to loan to him again?

YOU were the one attacked. Go to the police station and file a battery complaint against this jerk then sue in small claims court for costs of the medical treatment you received.
