If a driver is injured or killed by faulty vehicle repair, is the mechanic or employer responsible? Does the repair shop's insurance cover the loss or does the mechanic get sued too? Also can jail time be involved or is it just a matter of financial settlement?

You mean like if it's found that there was negligence in the repair? Let's say something wasn't installed correctly and the steering became inoperable while driving causing a wreck. What would be the case then?

Just because something was installed incorrectly doesn't neccessarily mean there was negligence.

Your professor probably wants you to do your own homework.
