Can I sue

What is the name of your state? Louisiana

For two months now I have been the victim of Cyberstalking.
I am have pressed criminal charges against the people invloved, they go to court next month. I have also gotten my local Attorney General's office invloved.
These people have slandered me all over the internet. They even created a forum to ridicule me , post my personal information, and slander me. I have over 500 copies of this happening , that the detective and DA have for evidence. I had just joined a local organization and now I am no longer allowed to participate in it because of the lies, and the things these people have said about me.
We all live in the same state and knew each other personally.
My reputation will never be restored now because of these people.
One of the people involved, commited this crime while they were at work and on the company computer, the computer was the one in their office that only they used.
My question is, Can't I hold their place of employment responsible for the damages that their employee caused me while they were on company time ? Can't I name the employer in a Defamation claim/suit? and can't I sue the person's home owners insurance to pay for the damages also ? The crime was also commited on their home computer also.

Based on your post you may have a claim. However, know one here can tell you for sure without reviewing the alleged defamatory statements. Get a local lawyer to take your case on contingency.

Question

Thank you for your response.

I was also told to contact the FBI and file a report with them also...

I have been contacted by a local news reporter about doing a story on Cyber stalking, meaning I would have to go on camera and tell how it has effected me and warn other's that it can and does happen. My question- If I agree to go on camera and it is aired, will that hurt the case against them ? I don't want to do anything that will jeopardize the DA's case.

I would get the DA's ok before doing anything "on the record".
