Can there be legal action taken against me?

What is the name of your state?New York

I run an in home child care center and recently had a 7 month old child fall in my kitchen. She ended up acquiring bruises on her forehead, nose, and upper lip. I mailed the parent an incident report, because after the accident she did not return her child back to my center and refused to return phone calls to me. She has just started making accusations regarding the incident claiming that the hospital where she took the child after the fall;says I was being negligent. Is it possible for her to bring any kind of legal actions against me?
