car mishapCA, My friend have unfortunately met a car accident lately. I would like to confer with you guys if what should be done, it was an enigma really. Facts: After the startling occurrence he immediately leave the scene. Eventually, he was caught after which he admitted fault. He waited for several hours following the customary procedures. Then he was ask to sign some papers with no discernment as to what the content was Any Legal Implications? Help… |

Re:car accident A good friend.Ideally, after a car accident, whether your are at fault or not, you should not admit fault. Though you are vulnerable for just about anything including admitting liability, you should avoid making admissions. What you must do is to confer with a personal injury lawyer, for all you know it may be shown that you were not actually at fault. The improper admission may work against your claim later on. Leaving the scene is a bad move. The signature may have an effect, but may still be contested. Confer with an attorney at the soonest... Ease up.. |

| Never sign anything you haven't read and understood. Does your friend have insurance? If so, they should take care of everything. |
