Contractor Slip And Fall

CALIFORNIA -

I am having work done at m house.. A new pool is being installed and my house is being re-plastered ... the owner of the plastering company says he slipped and fell into my pool...he never contacted me or my wife, no ambulence came, no one knocked on my door..He says his worker saw him fall...But if that was the case ..why didnt anyone contact us right away. Why did he wait until the next day to leave me a voicemail? . would this be a claim for my homeowners insurance or is this his workers comp? What do I need to do to protect myself...

**A: the BIG question is, is he a licensed contractor and did he have general liability and WC insurance at the time?

He Does Have A Lic And The Info Online Says He Has Ins And A Bond
