What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? In North Carolina, my daughter, at the time was age 11, now age 19, fell in pizza hut and broke her ankle. We were at a baseball game only a block away and it got rained out, so it was raining pretty hard. We got to the pizza hut and didn't even notice that they didn't have any of their rugs at the doors, until my daughter had went up to the juke box to play some music (The juke box was right beside the door that leads outside... And all of a sudden we hear blood curdling screams. She had slipped on the water, and had broken her ankle. We took her to the Emergency Room where they xrayed it and confirmed that it was broken. We had to wait for the swelling to go down and so we had the cast put on at an Orthopeadic office the very next day. We returned to the pizza hut after we left the ER that night and filled out an accident report and talked to the owner of the restaurant. "When we asked them why they "still" had not put the rugs down by the doors, she called up a guy from the back and told him to go get them, and he told her that they were outside out back and had gotten rained on so he could not bring them in. Apparently they had been taken out earlier that day to be shook and cleaned and they left them outside. OK**************. I know that I have three years from the date that my minor child turns 18, and we are getting close. Also...... My daughter's ankle is so weak it has continued to go out on her causing her to break it multiple more times over the years, at least three more times! She was unable to continue cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, etc..... and that simply devistated her! She missed her birthday party at the beach because she was in a wheelchair that year... ETc...... Can you please tell me if we have a case, and if so, about how much is it worth.....And who would be best to hire for this type of case? Thank you, Becki Davenport
