| Daughter's Hair Ripped Out At Daycare What is the name of your state? Virginia
My 7 year old daugher had an entire braid (cornroll) ripped out of her head at daycare. Yes, HER hair. No extensions or anything. She was running beside the volleyball net when the beads on the end of one braid somehow bounced up and tangled in the net. Being that she already had momentum while running, it ripped completely off her head! (I still get chills talking about it)! I'll say that a good 6 inches of hair was attached to her head and about 8-9 inches hanging. It was very traumatic and painful even though it didn't break the skin(scalp). She did this completely on her own, but under daycare supervision and on daycare propery. The daycare director only offered an apology. I spent $150 in medical expenses. Should I accept this apology and leave the situation alone, speak with owner about some sort of compensation, sue (if possible), or what?! PLEASE RESPOND
A HURTING MOTHER
