Question

Does this fall under personal injury?

undefinedWhat is the name of your state? Florida

my mother in law was moving from Fl to DC after Katrina and she has a 600 pound safe that needed to be moved. she hired some people that she knew to help move her out of the condo that she was in - as they were moving the safe up the ramp to the truck the safe fell over and caught one of the movers fingers thus cutting the tip off. Anyway, would that be my mother in laws respon. or the owner of the finger. the reason i ask is my M-I-L wants to know here rights and the people are now trying tro swindle the money out of her - they called her the other night and informed her that they were about to kicked out for failure to pay rent (imo they haven't paid rent in a while if they are being kicked out) and wants her to pay their rent.

does anyone have any suggestions?

**A: yes, that does fall under personal injury, and no, she is not liable for their rent.
