Dog bite

Illinois
Several years ago, our 10 year old daughter was bitten by a dog. The owner was negligent and it is being handled by their insurance company. They keep in contact with us. She had stitches, trauma, and is left with a scar on her thigh. We have not decided if she should have plastic surgery for the scar.
The insurance company says we have until she is 18 to settle the claim.
Do we need an attorney?

Yes, At the very least you should have a consult with a Personal Injurt Attorney. The insurance company is not going to act in your daughters best interest.
