dog sitter trashes house having party

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ca

a "freind" was dog sitting at our house and had a party -- not a real big party, but a messy drunken one where people made our hottub green, left ejaculate in it, knocked over our plants, left trash, mud and vomit, drank all the liquour in the house, used our food and a general state of dishevelment -- now, when I ask for something back -- I get unpleasnt attitude, as if I have done something wrong. I want to sue for damages do I have a case?

I also want to make my experience as public as possible to let everyone know just what rats this freind and his cohorts are! Can I blog my experience without it being libelous?

this has been disrupting my sleep and peace of mind for 3 weeks now --

You can sue them in small claims court for the actual cost to repair the damage they caused and the food/drink they consumed. This has nothing to do with personal injuries of course. Don't make it about revenge or being 'public'. I don't think judges would look kindly on personal vendettas in their courtroom. Just make it about business and you not wanting to be out any money for their irresponsibility.
