Dogbite.....

What is the name of your state? CT
Most people with a "bully breed" dog will not report them to their landlord for fear of the landlord asking them to leave, to get rid of the dog or to pay extra for liability insurence!!! That sucks for the dog owners with dogs that don't bite... but what about those that do??!!! Most tenants that comply are people that have dogs that will never bite!!! From what I hear all I have to do as a tenent is not have renters insurence?!!!! Management will claim they didn't know about dog living there, tenents claim the dog wasn't living there******************************************and anyone bitten is screwed!!!! Many of us live in mulitple unit housing here in CT!? If you or your child gets bitten and the dog is not on the lease?????? Why isn't the management company held accountable for knowing what is in their housing?! As said most will not report a dog, especially a "bully breed" so who then is to blame?! If a child gets bitten by a known dog in the neighborhood who is at fault? Doesn't our management have a resposibility to keep us safe? To know people are going to lie and not report animals? I don't want bans on any dogs but shouldn't people be held accountable?!!!
