What is the name of your state? michigan i had an eye injury at a well known store ,it was caused because the bracket that holds the price tags on the shelf was broke off at the end so when i pulled something that was kinda big off the shelf ,the item like brushed up against it and part of the bracket hit my eye it was very painfull i did make an incident report i went to the er,and even till this day i still have some pain ,my doctor did give me something for it...i guess my question is do i have a case? if so how much would it be?will the amount be less because im a stay at home mom caring for 2 disabled children and i dont work..and i didnt have to pay for my medical treatment?can i get something for pain and suffering if so how much?

Talk with a personal injury attorney in the same areas as the store is located (same county).

You did not have to pay your medical bills, but the taxpayers did. If the store was negligent and your injury is a result of the negligence, the medical bill payments will be paid back to the state from the proceeds of the lawsuit.

Gather up your medical billing statements and consult with an attorney.

I am concerned about continuing eye pain. Please see an opthamologist and have your eye examined for presence of a metal particle or a bleed "behind" the eye.

Best wishes,
EC
