Harassment?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
Hello. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I didn't see a forum heading that fit. An employee ('executive assistant') from a Dallas law firm read a public post of mine from craigslist and began sending me personal emails from the attorneys office where she works. Her emails were personally offensive to me and abusive. If she had done this from her home on her own time or had responded publicly on craigslist, maybe I would have viewed it differently. But, she used her company's time and resources to personally attack me. Do I have any legal recourse in this situation? I have kept copies of the email exchanges and NOWHERE in those exchanges was I rude or offensive. Neither did I resort to personal attacks or name-calling. I sent a copy of them along with an email describing the situation and how unprofessional it was. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Did you have a question? Or a point?

thanks for your 'help'. if you had read the post, you would have read the question. you can recognize a question by the question mark at the end of a sentence. this is what a question mark looks like... '?'

Legal recourse for WHAT? What tangible physical or financial damages have you suffered?

Why was she attacking you? What was she actually saying to you? Do you know her? Why did you say that none of your emails were rude or offensive? I thought it was her emails that were rude and offensive - who said yours were? Why would you not have been bothered by her behaviour if she'd sent you the emails from her personal account - but are very upset because she sent them from her work account? Is where she sent the emails from somehow more important than the content of the emails?

If you can answer all of these questions I might be able to provide you with some advice.

None of that even matters. Free speech still exists and there is nothing illegal and nothing to create any civil liability about sending nasty emails to someone else. She can insult you all she wants in a private email. You suffered no actual damages and you're just annoyed. You don't get to sue someone because they annoyed you. Well, ok you COULD sue her but you'd get laughed out of court and possibly fined for wasting the court's time on frivolous nonsense.

I know, I was just trying to get a handle on how the OP could possibly think there was a lawsuit in there.
