How much for a personal injury

I live in Wilmington, DE I was a victim of a rear end accident.
I was not injured seriously, my left hand (writting hand) had bent back as a reaction of viewing/impact of the hit.
I did go to the doctors because there was no tremendous pain. A few days later I started experincing uncomfortableness in my wrist. I sought a doctor and started therapy. After a month of therapy my condition had gotten better and the doctor gave me clearance.
Long story short I didn't go to a lawyers I tired to handle myself and now I belive the insurance company is trying to screw me over with an offer of just $1,400.00.
I know I deserve more.
What should I do? Is it to late for a lawyer?

Go to a personal injury lawyer for an evaluation of how much your case is worth.

Personal Injury Attorneys usually do a free consultation, and if retained, will take a percentage of the settlement reached, if any. If you do not win, then they do not get paid.

So, how much do you think a sore wrist, with NO injury, is worth??

Take their EXTREMELY generous offer and run, laughing all the way to the bank.

Nope. You can hire an attorney right up to the time that you cash their check.
Go ahead and talk with a local attorney. They need a good laugh.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Okay! Reality check time!

I was rear ended ...had soft tissue damage and 3 bulging disks...I was 33 at the time, NEVER had upper back problems after 4 years 6 doctors 2 MRI's showing the damage that I will ALWAYS have...drum roll please....they offered me 3,500.00! I said to my lawyer to tell them to stick it and went to court...again drum roll please....I got 14,500.00! After the doctors got payed...and the attorney got payed I received a check for 3,800.00....now remember my back will NEVER be the same, and I only got 3,800.00....

So take the $$ and go on with your life...trust me for what you will get it isn't worth the bother!
