What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
i was in a parking structure, we were getting ready to pay for parking when we were informed at the front of the line by the parking attendant it was credit card only. if we wanted to pay with cash we had to go to the vending machine and pay where there was another parking attendant. my friend gets out of the car and goes and pays where an altercation takes place while i'm reversing out of the line. i glance again and my friend gets struck in the face. i immediately get out of the car and run over there, the suspects all run up stairs (about 8 of them). i get over there and see my friend getting up to his feet and i run up stairs. the suspects scatter, i lock in on 3 of the suspects 2 of them run back down and another turns around and faces me, i simply ask " what the **** is going on" in a non-threatening tone, just curious on what lead to the fight. and then i wake up in the hospital. i didn't throw a punch or anything. i was cited for fighting in public when i woke up in the hospital, my friend and his cousin were arrested for fighting in public. CAN ANYONE HELP ME....????? |

(for what it's worth "what the **** is going on" would be perceived as somewhat threatening by a lot of people....)
