Injury at School and Liability

My 7 year old son is currently enrolled in summer school and then the SAFE program which is a summer/day care program sponsored by the school district. Yesterday at this program a group of children, including my son, were screwing around and throwing things at each other. My child made a bad decision and picked up a bowling pin and threw it at a boy. The boy received a gash in the head which required 5 stitches and a CAT scan. The only 2 adults supervising these children were at the other end of the room playing dodgeball. Can I be sued for this? What is my liability?
