What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
On saturday aq small group of friends and I decided to take his gocart to the high school and run it around the basketball courts. He is a coach at the school and has persmission. After about ten minutes of doing this a man comes at us weilding an aluminum bat. Yelling at us to get F out of he he is so sick of this sh t. He proceeds to get very confrontational and I tell him dont come at me with that bat youll get you ass kicked. He says step near me, Me getting more pissed all the time I did and he swung the bat like he was going for a home run. Hit me in the left arm and then ran away. We called the police and they came took the report nad went looking for him. Found his wife who said he ran in the house then took the car and left. The next day he called them and said he would turn himself in in a day or two. The policeman was able to pick him up that night. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Can I sue him for hitting me I sustained the skin blown open on the elboy had to get xrays and it is very sore. I want him to pay for this dearly...

Speak to the DA about getting restitution added to his sentence.
