What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GA
When I was pregnant I had some problems, so I went to my midwife but she sent me home saying everything was fine, but 3 days later I had an emergancy c-section and my daughter was born brain dead due to the seziures that day I was in the office, but I was told because I was on medicaid I could not sue for wrongfull death, and I wanted to know if that was true and if I should still look into a suit aginst the midwife. |

| | | How long ago? And have you spoken to an attorney? Since you are on medicaid, if you were to receive a settlement, then anything they paid for your medical bills would have to be paid back before you could receive anything for yourself.

| | | It was a year in Feb, I spoke to a lawyer but he never looked over my medical files, so I really didn't think I had a case, then I was told that so I have just recently started looking into it again. |
